Galen has 20 years’ experience developing technically-focused strategy and policy for the maritime sector spanning leadership and technical roles with NGOs, private industry, and government.
With the US DOT’s Maritime Administration (MARAD), he develops and manages projects for the Maritime Environmental and Technical Assistance (META) program related to energy transition. He serves as a climate and energy subject matter expert for MARAD and is on a small interagency team developing IMO’s emerging GHG regulations.
